The Spectrum

Should your child receive a diagnosis, you will be told as to which part of The Spectrum he is in. Some children are affected only mildly, others moderately and still others are more challenged.

You may not need to know of all the terms out there, but with something like autism. They do come in subsets. So sometimes, it's good to know what they are.

• attnetion deficit disorder
• Tourette's
• obsessive-compulsive disorder
• sensory processing disorder
• gastrointestinal problems affecting behavior
• mental retardation
