Introducing Our Baby Number Two

The very reason, we started this blog, was our dear Ivan. Ivan was born in the year 2000, a very controversial year for the whole world. Do you remember the Y2K controversy?

My pregnancy with Ivan was a good one, as compared with my first pregnancy.  I was in my prime (twenties), and all seemed to go very well. I loved to eat and that I did a lot. I almost spoilt myself with Snicker Bars and Magnums after lunch all the time. My colleagues, really pampered me with sweet treats and rest. It was a wonderful ten months, as a preggy. I worked all the way, until the day before I gave birth. I laughed so much that, someone once told me, "You baby is going to come out smiling". And that was so true. He was always smiling, from the time he woke up to the goodnight kiss.

Like all Singaporean couples, Peter and I figured that we would work hard in our twenties, settle down our career, in our thirties and prepare for retirement fund when we hit our forties.

Life seem to be going as planned, after Ivan came along, I pursued my studies, part-time. I still feel guilty for that, as it took a lot of my time from my boys. I had a good helper and Peter was around. But I guess, a mother notices things that even dads overlook. Or is it maybe, cause I was trained in Early Childhood?

My beautiful baby boy, Ivan was a very happy baby. Peter and I never imagined that the storm was coming. But it did, two years later.
